            Carly Kirk graduated with a BFA from Morehead State University and a minor in art history. She is currently working at Marshall University as an Office Administrator and freelance artist and designer while pursuing an MBA and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management. Most recently, she designed the logo for the Paramount Theater in Ashland, Kentucky. She also participated in the Morehead Turtle Walk in 2024 with a paleontology and geology inspired turtle, "Fossil", which can be found at the Minor E. Clark Fish Hatchery.

 

She is from Louisa, Kentucky, a rural area that has inspired many of the natural elements within her work. She has won second place in drawing and printmaking at the 23rd Annual Student Art & Design Exhibition at the Gateway Regional Arts Center in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky as well as first place overall in the Everything Considered exhibition at Morehead State University. During her time at Morehead, she has worked under Dr. Joy Gritton for the Eastern Kentucky Arts Project (EKAP) and has spoken about rural access and inequity in the arts education between Kentucky counties at 46th Annual Appalachian Studies Association Conference.
